Michael Lee “Mike” Clevenger

62, died at 1:48 AM on Monday, April 23, 2018, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.

Michael was born on September 1, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Don Clevenger and Marna (Renner) Clevenger. His mother survives in Gomer.

Michael was an avid golfer, big Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He loved to garden with his grandkids, listening to music especially Eric Clapton and the Blues, and spending time outdoors. He was a graduate of Elida High School, class of 1973. He worked at Phillips Displays in Ottawa for 27 years and more recently worked at General Aluminum. Mike was also a member of the Gomer Congregational Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara Clevenger, of Lima, OH, his dog “Pup” (Pooch), brothers James (Cindy) Clevenger, Martin (Rhonda) Clevenger, Rodney (Barb) Clevenger; three grandchildren, Joseph, Jerome, Saniya; four nephews, Dustin, Nick, Austin (Karley), and Andrew; two nieces, Danielle (Wes), and Michelle, two great-nephews, Vincent and Myles, and his former wife Nancy.

He was preceded in death by, his maternal grandparents, Rex & Beulah Crites, and paternal grandparents, Emerson & Martha Clevenger.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor Jim Wilder will officiate.

Interment will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer, Ohio.
