A1C NATHAN CURTIS TUTTLE, 21, died Dec. 12, 2006, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He was born February 12, 1985, in Lima, Ohio to John C. and Carol Aldrich Tuttle. His father and stepmother, Linda Moeller Tuttle, survive in Batesville, Indiana. His mother died February 22, 1985. He was a 2004 graduate of Batesville High School where he played football and wrestled. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greensburg and was a member of its youth group. He was also a member of Young Life of Batesville. He served in the Air Force from August 10, 2004, to December 12, 2006. He was an F-16 avionics systems apprentice for the 4th Aircraft Maintenance Unit of the 388th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. He was also a member of the 365th Training Squadron, Tech School. He was awarded the Air Force Training Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Air Force Expeditionary Service with the Gold Border and the Iraqi Campaign Medal. Survivors also include three brothers, Todd Nolan (Traci) Tuttle, of Englewood, Ohio, Kevin Wayne (Julie) Tuttle, of Lima, Ohio, and Jerry Eugene (Felice) Tuttle, of Dyess Air Force Base, Abeline, Texas; a sister, Amy Lynne Shideler, of Toledo, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Mary Josephine Tuttle, of Lima, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Harry and Edna Moeller, of Hicksville, Ohio; four nephews, Curtis Tuttle, Sydney Lewis, Jason Lewis, and Brendan (Jherilyn) Tuttle; and three nieces, Nicole Tuttle, Britny Tuttle, and Tristen Tuttle. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Allen Tuttle, and paternal grandfather, John Delbert Tuttle. Services will begin at 7 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville, Inddiana, and 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The Rev. Ronald B. Cannon will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville, Indiana, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
