A.C. Kuhlman

A. C. "Junior" Kuhlman, 83, died at 10:00 P.M. on April 7, 2011 at St. Rita's Hospital.

He was born April 25, 1927, in New Cleveland, Ohio to Adolph J. and Dorthea (Schroder) Kuhlman who preceded him in death. On October 6, 1954, he married Martha Garlock, who survives.
Mr. Kuhlman was a shift manager at Kewpee Restaurant for 50 years. Also, he was a sales representative for Century 21-Wat Realty. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Elks, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was a member of St. Gerard Parish and their Holy Name Society. The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Jay Martin, St. Rita's Home Health, and the staff of St. Rita's Hospital CCU.
Survivors also include a daughter, Susan (Dave) Myers of West Palm Beach, Florida; 4 sons, Mark (Cheri) Kuhlman of Virginia Beach, VA. Karl (Michelle) Kuhlman of Virginia Beach, VA, Tim (Jean) Kuhlman of Petoskey, MI, Mike (Denise) Kuhlman of Dublin, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Michael McCreight of Nashville, TN., Matthew and Meghan Kuhlman of Virginia Beach, VA. Josh and Jessica Kuhlman of Petoskey, MI., Kellie, Jack, Luke and Lisa Kuhlman, of Dublin, Ohio., Autumn Hoyler of Innwood West VA., Jennie Greene of Cincinnati, Ohio and Chuck Myers of Warner Robbins, GA. and 7 great grandchildren; one brother John (Dolores) Kuhlman, of Ottawa, Ohio, and sisters-in-law; Helen Kuhlman of Ottawa, Ohio and Thelma Kuhlman of Leipsic, Ohio, Kate (Richard) Dilts, of Portsmouth, Ohio, Barb Garlock, and Pat Garlock of Lima, Ohio, and Carolyn Garlock of Findlay, Ohio, a brother-in-law Karl Garlock of Salter Path, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by 5 sisters Marcella, Esther, Elizabeth "Betty", Mary, & Rose.
6 brothers Cyril Kuhlman, Wilfred Kuhlman, Norbert Kuhlman, Ralph Kuhlman, Thomas "Tom" Kuhlman and Ambrose Kuhlman.
4 Sisters-in-law, Sister Beatrice Ann Garlock, Sister Maria "Beth" Garlock, Marjorie Mox, June Brinsfield. 5 brothers-in-law, John "Bud" Garlock, Tom Garlock, Jay Garlock, Joe Garlock, Mark Garlock.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 10, 2011 for 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, April 11, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Gerard's Catholic Church with Rev. James McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio, with a military service conducted by VFW Post 1275. Contributions may be made to St. Gerard's Catholic Church or Lima Central Catholic High School.
