Agnes A. (Ellis) Evans

Agnes A. (Ellis) Evans, 79, died at 11:30 PM on Sunday, May 03, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

Agnes was born on December 31, 1935, in Big Beaver, Michigan, to the late John Ellis and Agnes (Hudson) Ellis.

Agnes married Lavern H. Evans on October 25, 1959. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1990. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953 and then attended Northwestern Business College. She had her own License Bureau and had worked at the Allen County Recorder's Office. She retired from Allen County Board of Commissioners (secretary). She also served as President-Vice President of the Allen County Council for Retarded Citizens. She researched and set up Robin Rogers Day Service. She was a member of the Sassy Lima Bean Chapter of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by: a son, Paul L. Evans, of Elida, OH; three brothers, Ralph (Nancy) Ellis, of Lima, OH, John (Jean) Ellis, of Fort Myers, FL. and David (Rose) Ellis, of Tucson, AZ.

She was preceded in death by: a son, Jay T. Evans; three sisters Ruth Ellis, Jean Ellis and Betty Ellis; two brothers Harry Ellis and Stanley Ellis.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 6, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A Funeral Service will begin Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Roselie Lora will officiate.

Interment will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer, Ohio.
