Alden W. Brunk

Alden W. Brunk, 82, passed away at 9:28 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Lima Convalescent Home. 

Alden was born on December 17, 1941, in Elida, Ohio, to the late Wilbur and Florence (Diller) Brunk. On March 20, 1965, he married Violet (Kanagy) Brunk, who survives in Lima. 

Alden was a member of Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fixing things and working in his yard. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Alden helped anyone in need; he had a gift of serving. 

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Kevin (Joan) Brunk and daughter, Pam (Clark) Little, both of Elida; grandchildren: Jacob (Tova) Brunk, Kayla (Andrew) Bays, Gabriel (Molly) Brunk, Ana (Colton) Punches, Meredith (Brendan) Moorehead, and Maggie (Taylor) Willis; great-grandchildren, Lucas Bays, Landon Bays and Magnolia Moorehead on the way; brothers, Leonard (Anna) Brunk of PA, and Herbert (Norma) Brunk of Lima.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Lima Community Church of the Nazarene, with one hour of visitation prior. Pastor Chip Bullock and Pastor Brad Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Community Church of the Nazarene.
