Alice Lucille Behr, 75, of Wapakoneta, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 10:40 p.m. at Wapak Manor. She was born on October 30, 1945 in Shelby County, Ohio to the late Alfred and Esther {Grodey} Dietz. On November 6, 1965, she married Joseph Behr, who preceded her in death March 29, 2017.
Alice was a homemaker for her family. She served as Cookie Chairman for the Girl Scouts. She volunteered in the Fine Arts Department at the Allen County Fair for 25 years and was a Foster Mother for newborn babies.
She is survived by her daughter: Brenda (Eric) Truesdale, sons: Steven (Milly) Behr, Dennis (Susan) Behr, and Jerrold (Ginger) Behr, grandchildren: Steven Stauffer, Stephanie Stauffer, Michelle (Michael) Osborn, Chad Behr, Chelsea (Ross) Scarbrough, Tim Davies Jr., Tami (Matt) Galdeen, Renee Davies, Dominic Truesdale, Ryan Truesdale, Shayne Truesdale, Shawn Truesdale, and Kelly Truesdale, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters: Martha (Oscar) Etgen, Elaine (Richard) Schick, and Ruth Dietz, and brother: Dan (Lois) Dietz.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother: Bill Dietz.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to service at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, OH. A funeral service will begin on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
