ALICE C. BOWSHER, 93, died at 1:25 p.m. October 21, 2006, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born February 3, 1913, in Allen County, Ohio to Fredrick and Edith Anderson Lawrence, who preceded her in death. On August 28, 1932, she married Ardrey R. Bowsher, who died April 27, 1961. Mrs. Bowsher worked for Huntington National Bank for 27 years as a teller. She retired in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church and their Good Cheer Class. She worked at Autokraft Box Corp. and Westinghouse during World War II before working at the bank. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Betty Bowsher, of Celina, Ohio; three grandchildren, Sheila (Keith) Gudorf, of Celina, Ohio, Bruce (Mary) Bowsher, of Fairborn, Ohio, and Aaron (Cynthia) Bowsher, of Celina, Ohio; 12 great-grandchildren, Daniel Gudorf, Jonathan Gudorf, Benjamin Gudorf, Samuel Gudorf, Leslie Gudorf, Walter Bowsher, Anna Bowsher, Sarah Bowsher, Samantha Bowsher, Luke Bowsher, Nicole Bowsher and Zane Bowsher; a sister, Martha Boogher, of Lima, Ohio; a brother, Carl (Helen) Lawrence, of Cridersville, Ohio; and two sisters-in-law, Eunice Lawrence, of Atlanta, and Evelyn Lawrence, of Huntington, Indiana. She was preceded in death by a son, Lester E. Bowsher; and four brothers, Vernon Lawrence, Cloyd Lawernce, George Lawrence and Leroy Lawrence. Services will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. George Pirtle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
