88, died at 7:40 p.m. May 9, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1916, in Lima, Ohio to John and Gladys Thomas Lewis, who preceded her in death. She married William Davenport, who died March 23, 1999. Mrs. Davenport retired as a licensed practical nurse from St. Rita's Medical Center, after 15 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was a member of the Missionary Club, Naomi Circle, Ladies Aide, Aeolian Club and Non Paril Club. Survivors include a daughter, Janice (Charles) Kile of Lima, Ohio; a son, Harold Davenport of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Bryan Kile, Steven (Susan) Kile, John Kile, Genny (Robert) Williams, Yvonne (Elton) Batty, Michael Davenport, Tandeka Davenport and Victor Lewis; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sarah Davenport; and a great-grandchild, Andre Keith. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
