ALICE LUCILLE LINK, 85, of Kettering, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died at 5 a.m. August 16, 2006, at Oaks Nursing Home. She wa born January 8, 1921, in Columbus Grove, Ohio to William and Nellie Core Riggenbach, who preceded her in death. On September 28, 1942, she married Robert A. Link, who died June 12, 1992. Mrs. Link was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was a member of Genie Chapter PSI, the Lima Writers Club and the Ladies Board of Allen Acres, where she had served as president. She was the author of three books that were published: ?Silent Chaos: This Century?s Darkest Hour?; ?A Priest for all Seasons: Monsignor E. C. Herr,? a biography of Father E. C. Herr; and ?A Woman Called Easter: Easter Straker: Broadcasting Pioneer,? a biography of Easter Straker. Survivors include two sons, Robert A. (Patricia) Link of Flushing, New York, and Karl J. (Vicki) Link of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Carole Susan (John) Kimmel of Mount Sterling, Ohio; a brother, Ray W. Riggenbach of Columbus Grove, Ohio eight grandchildren, David Rahrig, Julie Rahrig Liskany, charity Kimmel coffey, Megan Kimmel, Laura Hardy, Tricia Reiger Solarek, Marissa A. Link and Joseph M. Link; and eight great-grandchildren, Thomas White, Brydan Rahrig, Campbell Rahrig, Holland Rahrig, Scarlett Rahrig, George Liskany, Grant Liskany and Gabriel Hardy. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Alice Link; and Rebecca Link, and a grandson, Bryan Jacob Kimmel. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. David Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
