ALICE CATHERINE SHAW, 72, died at 11:55 a.m. June 2, 2005, at her daughter's residence in Marion, Ohio. She was born September 5, 1932, in Lima, Ohio to George and Juanita Keeling Quillin, who preceded her in death. On July 2, 1955, she married Richard Bernard Shaw, who died December 23, 1997. Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. She was a 1950 graduate of St. John High School. Survivors include three daughters, Shelby (Joe Clark) Golden and Sylvia (Dan) Otten, both of Lima, Ohio, and Sheila Stayner of Marion, Ohio; two sons, Anthony "Tony" Shaw of Lima, Ohio and Randy (Melissa) Shaw of Vandalia, Ohio; three sisters, Rita (Ed) Wenger of Bluffton, Ohio, Sharon (Jack) Conley of Lima, Ohio and Janette Harper of Mascotah, Illinois; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Long. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. The Rev. J. Norbert Howe will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
