Anita VanTilburg

Anita Rayann VanTilburg, 57, of Lima, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born on January 3, 1964 in Sydney, Ohio to Elwood and Doris {Wall} Salyers. Her mother survives her.

On November 2, 1980, she married Jerry Dean VanTilburg, who preceded her in death, June 12, 2020. Anita was a homemaker and helped with the music at her and her husband’s church; Lima Garden City Christian Union Church. She was very active in the church and loved to cook and bake, as well as decorating for the holidays and attending all of her grandchildren’s extracurricular events.

In addition to her mother: Doris Stansbury, she is survived by her children: Jerry VanTilburg Jr., Thomas (Michelle) VanTilburg, and Erin (Adam) Rigali, all of Lima, grandchildren: Lucas, Wyatt, Adam II, and Lourie, brother: Todd Salyers, and sister: Dana (Dave) Geib.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and her brother: Randy Salyers.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Pastor Gary Shepherd will officiate.
