Anna Northup

Anna Northup, 78, passed away at 12:57 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Franciscan Health in Rensselaer, Indiana.

Anna was born on November 21, 1944 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Adrian and Lucille (Hixson) Rousculp.  On December 12, 1966 she married Alfred “Bud” Charles Northup, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2018.

Anna was a 1962 graduate of Lima Senior High School and had worked in the Fabric Dept. at Hobby Lobby.  She also worked at Woolworths and ran Anna’s Occasional Cakes.  She enjoyed baking, shopping, and gardening.  Most of all, she especially enjoyed and loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons: William “Bill” (Tania) Northup; Thomas “Tom” (Ann) Northup; and Douglas “Doug” (James Null) Northup; grandchildren: Connor, Alexis and Ally Northup; and several nieces and nephews including her special niece, caregiver and friend, Gina Garrett.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Phil Petree and Bart Rousculp.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m. on Monday, March 6 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the funeral home.  Rev. Shane Crites will officiate.  Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Uniopolis, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Children’s Garden or George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center.
