Annabelle Johnson, 89, died at midnight April 23, 2008, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born March 14, 1919, in Lima, Ohio to Harry and Irene Mooney Mackey, who preceded her in death. On July 11, 1942, she married Earl Johnson, who died Feb. 17, 1993. Mrs. Johnson had worked at R.G. Dun, the Lima Tank Plant and Home Service Laundry. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Lima. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary, where she served as president in 1983 and 1984. She was a member of MOCA. She volunteered and would help anyone. She was an avid card player. Survivors include a daughter, Jean (Joe ?Chow?) French, of Elida, Ohio; a son, Harry (Kay) Johnson, of Elida; a stepdaughter, Velma (Gary) Crider, of Broadway, Virginia; two grandchildren, Jason (Monica) Baumgartner, of Lima, Ohio, and Chad (Jenna) Baumgartner, of Columbus, Ohio; a great-grandchild, Paige Baumgartner, of Dayton, Ohio; and 11 step grandchildren, 19 step great-grandchildren and seven step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Paul Johnson; four brothers, Jim Mackey, Raymond Mackey, Charles Mackey and Alfred Mackey; and an infant sister, Mary Catherine. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. William J. Rose will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
