Annette L. Powers, 91, of Roanoke, Indiana, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died at 10:45 a.m. March 16, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born November 19, 1916, in Cleveland, Ohio to Howard H. and Beatrice A. Learn Robins. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Ellis R. Powers, who died February 4, 1999. Mrs. Powers retired from the men?s department at the Leader Store. She was a member of the Mildred Chapter 85, Eastern Star of Cardington, which merged with Ann Hill Chapter 81. She was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lima, Ohio, the Lutheran Berean Church Circle, and the Lutheran Perfect Circle Couples Group. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sandra Powers, of Roanoke, Indiana; three grandchildren Kurt Lawrence Powers, Thomas Craig Powers and Howard Ellis Powers; three great-grandchildren Cassandra M. (Stephen) Steinmetz, Mathew H. Powers, Dalton M. Powers; two great-great-grandchildren. Matysen Marie Steinmetz and Brayden Steinmetz; and three step-great-great-grandchildren, Amie Steinmetz, Marranda Steinmetz and Anderson Steinmetz. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Powers. Services will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Kent Wilson will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Glendale Cemetery, Cardington, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
