Anthony J. Youngpeter ,
86, died at 8:26 AM on Monday, June 10, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

Anthony was born on June 15, 1926, in Landeck, Ohio, to the late Thomas Hubert Youngpeter and Frances Mary [Lucius] Youngpeter.

Anthony Youngpeter married Ruth Budde on September 2, 1950 in Maria Stein, Ohio. They had been married for 62 years. She survives in Lima. He retired from ODOT. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, serving as an usher for many years, and a member of their Holy Name Society. He was a member of the VFW Post 1275, Lima. He loved his family very much and spending time with them, fishing with his grandchildren and gardening.

He is survived by: two sons, Thomas "T.J." Youngpeter, and Gene Michael (Mary Ann) Youngpeter; one daughter, Barbara (Neil) Ribley; one granddaughter, Amber (Devin) Okuly; three grandsons Craig (Jill) Ribley, Derek Youngpeter, and Travis (Nickey) Ribley; one great grandson, Blake Michael Okuly; one brother, Hilary Youngpeter of Findlay, OH.

He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Howard Thomas Youngpeter, and Wilfred Edward "Willy" Youngpeter; a sister - Mary Ann Huysman.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio with a wake service at 8:00 P.M. following the visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Father Mike Houston officiating.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio with the US Army and VFW Post 1275 conducting military graveside services.
