Ardelle "Delle" E. Yinger,
87, of Elida, Ohio and formerly of Sidney, Ohio for nearly fifty years died on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 1:50 p.m. at the Sarah Jane Senior Living Center, Delphos, Ohio surrounded by her family.
Born February 6, 1925 in Old Town, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Everett Ashe and the late Sadie Eva (Shirland) Ashe.
Ardelle married Harvey D. Yinger in Milford, Maine on September 4, 1943. They had been married 69 years. He survives. She retired from the American Red Cross of Shelby Co. after 18 years as their Executive Director. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter of Port Jefferson, OH; South Side Christian Church and was formerly a member of the First Christian Church, Sidney, OH. She enjoyed baking, bowling, square dancing, ballroom dancing, line dancing and was an avid reader.
Surviving are: a son, Bryan (Deb) Yinger of Sidney, OH; two daughters, Carol Blymyer of Elida, OH and Gayle (Dean) Holdgreve of Delphos, OH; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Kenneth Ashe and Merle Ashe; two sisters, Madeline Ouellette and Delia Feero.
Visitation will be at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 and at the Cromes Funeral Home Sidney, Ohio from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013.
Funeral service will be at the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, OH 45365, at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013 with Rev. Wanda Werking officiating.
Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Sidney, OH
