ARLEN G. ROWLETTE, 80, died at 5:15 a.m. Sept. 10, 2005, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. He was born June 6, 1925 in Middlesboro, Ky., to Marion and Jane Brown Rowlette, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 31, 1948, in Kentucky he married Rhea Bissey, who survives in Lima. Mr. Rowlette retired in 1981 from Clark Equipment as a machinist for 38 years. He was a member of the 25 Year Club at Clark Equipment. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 19, Lima. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He loved to fish and garden and loved music. Survivors also include a son, Terry (Gerri) Rowlette of Lima; two daughters, Lynda Mullins and Susan (Tim) Ore, both of Lexington, Ky.; four grandsons, Rob Rowlette of Fort Wayne, Ind., Monty Rowlette of Cleveland, Joe (Tabby) Rowlette of Rockford and Tanner Mullins of Lexington, Ky.; a granddaughter, Brandi Ore of Lexington, Ky.; and a great-granddaughter, Brianna Rowlette. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ransom, Marshall, Herb and Louis Rowlette; and five sisters, Vola Miracle, Edith Ferguson, Ruby White, Beverly Jane Rowlette and Betty Ray Rowlette. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Albert Childers will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
