Audrey Coburn

Audrey Coburn, 87, passed away at 9:14 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Ritas.

Audrey was born on August 20, 1935 in Waldo, KY, to Jessie and Cora (Handshoe) Wireman.  On July 22, 1954 she married Delbert Lee Coburn, who survives in Lima.

Audrey loved serving God and delivering God’s message of hope and love.  If you believe in God, you are promised the hope of everlasting life and will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.  She was a lifetime member of Free Will Baptist Church in Lima and was retired from the Cigar Factory.  Audrey was a quilt maker, enjoyed cooking and baking pies, flower gardening, and doing crafts with flowers, especially wreaths.  She loved spending time with family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Larry (Brenda) Coburn of Montpelier, OH and Mike (Dawn) Coburn of Elburn, IL; of  Lima; grandchildren: Michelle, Kevin (Angie), Ryan (Jennifer), Carlie (Dave), Todd, Mallory Jo and Morgan (Chris); great-grandchildren: Dylan (Taylor), Wyatt, Anaiyah, Kyazia, Semira, Alexis, Delilah, Hunter, Emerson, Tripp, Addison, Lincoln, and Elsie; great-great-grandchild, Navy; brothers, Jerry (Linda) Wireman and Clinton (Ida) Wireman; and sister-in-law, Marie Wireman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Woods; brothers: Clayton (Bonnie) Wireman, Lester (Doris) Wireman and Lesle Wireman; and sisters, Anes (Earl) Grigsby and Ines Wireman.

The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. on Monday, September 12,  2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.  Pastor Dave Coffey will officiate.  Burial will follow at Preston Cemetery in Alger, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Free Will Baptist Church, 1507 Grant St., Lima, OH 45801.
