Barbara Ann Decker, 67, died at 11:06 AM on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at her residence in Lima, Ohio. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family and loved ones. She lost her battle to leukemia after nine long months and was truly a warrior giving it everything she could.

Barbara Ann was born on Sunday, December 13, 1953, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Aloysius "Alvie" Niese and Alma (Warnecke) Niese.  On June 27, 1975 she married Jack L. Decker who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Bath High School in 1972 and then graduated from the International Business College. She was employed at Lima Municipal Court for 21 years as an Administrative Assignment Commissioner. She loved reading, gardening, spending time at the family woods and cabin, farming and cooking. She loved her family and spending time together gave her the most joy in life. Barb was a beacon of light in everyone's life that she touched and will be greatly missed by so many whom love her.

She is survived by her two sons, Adam Decker, and Michael Decker; brother, Paul (Midge) Niese and sister, Pauline DeVita.  She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Carol Keefe and Mary Niese.

A private memorial mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Lima, OH.  Interment will be in Gomer Pike Run Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
