69, died at 10:20 AM on May 30, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Barbara was born on February 7, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Walter and Thelma (Dye) Thomas. On Saturday, May 15, 1965 she married Thomas A. Ladden, who preceded her in death on August 16, 2013.
She retired as a Corrections Officer at the Lima Correctional Facility after many years.
She is survived by a son, Tige (Andrea) Ladden, a daughter, Melissa Ladden, of Lima, OH, a daughter, Shannon (Todd) Merritt, of Lima, OH; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; a sister, Pat (Don) Brandehoff, of St. John's, OH; many nieces & nephews; a sister-in-law, Karen Ladden, a brother-in-law, Jim Ribley and a brother-in-law , Phil Ladden.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas A. Ladden Jr; and two sisters, Virginia Gilkerson and Sharon Brown.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
