Barbara Eileen Reeves,
89, died at 7:27 AM on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Barbara was born on July 19, 1928, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late Richard J. Mann and Marie M. (Spitzer) Mann. On January 19, 1957, in Waukegan, Illinois, she married Russell Reeves, whom preceded her in death on October 23, 1991.
Barbara was a graduate of St. Rose in 1948. She served in the United States Navy from August 1, 1952 to July 25, 1957. Barbara was a homemaker. She volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital and at the Red Cross.
She is survived by her daughter, Edith Marie ‘Edye’ Ege, a granddaughter, Emily Harms, and a grandson, Russell E. Ege; and a sister Mary G. (Stephen) Lindsay, of Lima, OH.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. (Jean) Mann, and a sister, Marguerite (James) Penn.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio.
A Memorial Mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Lima. Father Kent Kaufman will officiate.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio, at a later date.
