Barbara Ellen Rizor-Evans 86, died at 3:59 a.m. April 12, 2010, at Primrose Place. She was born January 21, 1924, in Berkettsville, Ohio to Joseph and Pauline Corwin DaPore, who preceded her in death. She married Paul Edwin Rizor, who died in 1963. On August 12, 1965, she married Clyde Evans, who died March 21, 2007. Mrs. Rizor-Evans retired as an attorney after 50 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 and a former member of the Soroptimist Club. She was the first woman in the Allen County Bar Association. She served on the Board of Mental Health for several years. Survivors include two sons, Paul (Brenda) Rizor and Brad Rizor, both of Lima, Ohio; a stepson, David Clyde Evans, of Lima, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Sharon ?Sherry? Vida, of Lancaster, California; a brother, Joseph DaPore, of Lima, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer (Bruce) Baker, Elayna (Elijah) Keating, Ellissa Rizor, Alex Evans, David ?D.J.? Evans, Dena (James) Lee, Char (Tommy) King, Jaylene (Bob) Morgan, J.T. (Melanie) Vida, Valli (Christopher) Gideons, Vicki (John) Kestler, Chris (Tony) Morman, Scott Cooper and Shawn Cooper; and 16 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Rizor; and a sister, Marjorie Hoover. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
