83, was called into the presence of the Lord at 11:41 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio. She was surrounded and comforted by her family in her final days.
Beatrice was born on December 11, 1931, in Twila, Harlan County, Kentucky, to the late Frank Gambrel and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Johnson) Gambrel.
Beatrice married Eugene McCall on December 26, 1951. He survives in Lima. She worked as an LPN and retired from St. Rita's Hospital. She had been active with many committees in her church, Pioneer Girls and AWANA. She was a member of the Lima Baptist Temple and a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Eugene McCall Jr; two daughters, Teresa McCall, Elizabeth (Andy) Dick; five grandchildren, Eugene McCall III, Elizabeth Anne McCall, Alexander Wayne McCall, Elaine Beatrice McCall, John David McCall, two great grandchildren, Eugene McCall IV, Emma Grace McCall; two sisters, Roxie Tolliver and Francine Budd; two brothers, Orville Gambrel and Boyd Lee Gambrel.
She was predeceased by a stepmother, Mazzie Gambrel; five sisters , Elizabeth Gambrel, Hazel McGregor, Rutha Moles, Viola Gambrel, Bonnie Doepel; three brothers, Ace "Bud" Gambrel, Jake Gambrel and Donald Ray Gambrel; two stepbrothers, Bernard Richardson, Charles Richardson and stepsisters, Venita Richardson and Rose Denison.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on her birthday, Friday, December 11, 2015 at English Lutheran Church, 111 Grove St., Bluffton, Ohio followed by a service beginning at 5:00 P.M. Pastor Kevin Mohr will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to donor's charity of choice.
