Beatrice Marie ?Bea? Miller 90, died at 8:15 p.m. April 3, 2010, at Wyngate Senior Living Center, Lima, Ohio. She was born January 16, 1920, in St. Mary?s, Ohio to Harry Ivan and Lulu Mae Seewer Whetstone, who preceded her in death. On June 15, 1939, she married James Allen Miller, who died June 5, 1996. Mrs. Miller retired in 1984 as a secretary at the Lima City Schools, working at Longfellow and Washington-McKinley, for 30 years. She was a graduate of St. Mary?s Memorial High School. She was a charter member of Forest Park United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women?s group. She was a member of the Town and Country Quilters. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Dan) Reiff, of Elida, Ohio, and Karen (Rick) Biederman, of Lima, Ohio; a son, Tom (Pam) Miller, of Bluffton, Indiana; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Freeman Whetstone, of Jackson, Michigan, and Kenneth (Evelyn) Whetstone, of Celina; and four sisters, Gail Becker, of Spencerville, Norma (Robert) Poppe and Mary (Junior) Boroff, both of St. Mary?s, Ohio, and Ruth Ann Osborn, of Bryan, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Whetstone and Paul Whetstone. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Forest Park United Methodist Church. The Rev. Derek Russell will officiate. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
