Beatrice "Bea" Mary Zuppardo

Beatrice “Bea” Mary Zuppardo, 86, passed away at 8:17 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s.

Bea was born on October 18, 1936 in Ottawa, Ohio, to Charles Schnipke and Alvira (Wittler) Stippich.  On June 6, 1959 she married Joseph Zuppardo, who survives in Lima.

Bea attended Ohio State University obtaining a degree in their Dental Hygiene program.  She went on to work as a dental hygienist for 50 years in the offices of Dr. Thornhill, Dr. Brattain and Dr. Heckler.  She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and formerly a CCD Coordinator.  She was also a member of C.I.A.O. and the Power Squadron.  Bea like to crochet and do puzzles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Laura (Michael) Skinner of Somerset, OH and Lisa (Mark Bowsher) Morris of Elida; son, Joseph (Aimee) Zuppardo of Galena, OH; grandchildren: Eddie (Katie), Mikey (Haley), Maggie, Colton, Sophia, Isabella, Audrey and Lauren; great-grandchildren: Charlie, Olivia, and three on the way; sister, Mary Ann Hoehn; and brother, Richard (JoAnn) Schnipke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Norbert Stippich; and sister, Esther Miller.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio, followed by a Rosary Service at 7 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November15, 2022 at St. Charles Catholic Church.  Father Kent Kaufman will officiate.  Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church.
