Belva Lauber, 93 of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Born Saturday, January 26, 1918 in Stambaugh, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Thomas Akers and Lula J. Stambaugh Akers who proceded her in death. On April 17,1948 she married Irvin Lauber who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Lauber was a member Rousculp Church of Christ. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved her friends and family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors also include a son, William G. (Karen) Lauber of Lima, OH. Two grandchildren, Kellie (Ken) Woden of Lima and
Kimberly (Jim) Skelly of North Canton; two great grandchildren, Spencer and Clay Skelly, two brothers-in-law, William Clay and Lester Bacon; two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Akers and Ila Kehrwecker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, James C. Akers and Crit W. Akers, sisters, Murah M. Akers, Mary E. Baxter, Tommie Jean Bacon and Malta "Cleo" Clay.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Rousculp Church of Christ located at 890 Amherst Rd. Cridersville, Ohio 45806 with the Pastor Kenny Rader officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Rousculp Church of Christ.
