53, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016.

Benton was born on Wednesday, February 6, 1963, in Lima, to Edward William Crist, Sr., who survives and Betty Marie (Ricker) Crist who preceded him in death. He leaves behind the mothers of his children, April Watson and Lisa Sexton.

Benton worked at Accubuilt as a machinist. He was a drummer in the band, Southern Just-Us. He enjoyed riding his Harleys and playing the drums. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeye Football Team.

He is survived by: sons, Edward Benton (Brittney) Crist, Cridersville, Benny Ray Crist, Lima and James Lee (Victoria) Crist, Greeneville, TN; daughter, Brittney Crist, Lima; step-son, Ryan Craig, Lima; eleven grandchildren, Edward, Jr., Elissa, Benny, Jr., Ashton, Gage, James, Elizabeth, Abigail, Timmy, Kattiah and Karleigh; sisters, Deborah (Dale) Woods, Lima and Tammy Faye Crist, Lima; brother, Edward William (Gina) Crist, Jr.; his two canine companions, Tookie and Tucker; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend- like a brother, Rob Hamill, Sr..

He is preceded in death by: sisters, Alberta Wireman and Angela Crist and special friend, Ron Forrest.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, October 2nd and one hour before the service on Monday, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.

A funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Monday, October 3rd at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Rev. Marcus Brown will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
