BERNADINE MARIE "BERNIE" HEIDENESCHER, 87, died at 9 a.m. October 22, 2005, at her residence. She was born December 29, 1917, in Kalida, Ohio to Joseph and Mary Kamphauf Schnipke, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 19, 1941, in Kalida she married Arthur A. Heidenescher, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Heidenescher was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 Auxiliary, Lima, Ohio. She was a past member of the American Business Women's Association, past secretary of the Catawba Yacht Club, Catawba Point, and had been a Tupperware saleswoman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors also include three sons, John A. (Cheryl) Heidenescher of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Robert Joseph (Edie) Heidenescher of Lima, Ohio, and Roger Alan (Kate) Heidenescher of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Joan (Jerry) Stuby of Connersville, Indiana; a sister, Martha Soski of Bellevue; eight grandchildren, Lois Heidenescher, Jim Heidenescher, Bobby Heidenescher, Katie Mills, Shelly Bratch, Cathy Lott, Jason Heidenescher and Luke Heidenescher; and 12 great-grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, Skylar, Amber, Kory, Katelyn, Katerina, Alex, Emma, Isabella, Jake and Kaleb. She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Charles Schnipke, Edward Schnipke, Romey Schnipke, Otto Schnipke, Paul Schnipke, Sylvester Schnipke, Ally Schnipke and Joseph Jr. Schnipke; and three sisters, Bertha Sykes, Marie Huysman and Mary Catherine Schnipke. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. The Rev. James McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in Gethsemani Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a Rosary service will begin at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard Catholic Church, 240 W.
