Bessie Snyder

Bessie Marie Snyder 99, died at 1:52 a.m. June 23, 2009, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 13, 1910, in Allen County, Ohio to Frank and Maude Rieggle Allstetler, who preceded her in death. On May 29, 1965, she married Ray Snyder, who died January 25, 1987. Mrs. Snyder a member of West Elm United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Westinghouse Retirees, the Westinghouse Birthday Club, the Order of Eastern Star and the Senior Citizens. Survivors include a step daughter-in-law, Ginger Snyder, of Palm Harbor, Florida; three step daughters, Karen (Ronald) Smith, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, Pam (Dean) Kirkwood, of Clearwater, Florida, and Sandy (Lee) Tassillo, of Largo, Florida; a niece, Patricia Hoff, of Lima, Ohio, two sisters, Lillian Plankenhorn, of Lima, Ohio, and Mary (Frank) Derringer, of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Adrian Snyder, Jordan Snyder, Nicholas Tassillo, Angela Tassillo, Christine Kirkwood, Davey Kirkwood, Jennifer Kirkwood and Ryan J. Smith; two step grandchildren, Tony Tassillo and Chris Tassillo; and a step great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Rod Snyder; a sister, Margaret West; and two brothers, Theodore Alltstetler and Johnnie Alltstetler.
