Betsy A. (Ross) Agozzino,
82, passed away at 3:44 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio.
Betsy was born on Tuesday, May 27, 1930, in Lima to the late Carl Ross and Virginia [Peck] Ross. She married Angelo John Agozzino who preceded her in death on March 30, 1976.
She had worked in the office of St. Rose and had been an office manager for an apartment complex. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and their Altar Rosary. She was a former head of the Mother's Club at LCC. She was a former member of Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge #54, Lima, Eagle Aerie 370 Lima, Knights of Columbus #2661, Lima. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and she loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Karen (Mike) Agozzino-Schoonover, Lima, OH, a son , John T. (Julie) Agozzino, Tucson, AZ, also surviving are five grandchildren; Jason (Ann) Agozzino, Joshua (Wendy) Agozzino, Jeremy (Alisa) Agozzino, B. Nick (Lauren Sanders) Kohrn, Kelly (Brian) Suever; Six great grandchildren Joshua, Zoe, Laken, Sydney, Isaac, and Olivia; one great great granddaughter, Paidyn; also surviving are numerous nieces & nephews .
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane M. Agozzino, three brothers, John "Jack" Ross, Robert Ross and Thomas Ross, and a sister, Suzanne Ross.
The family will receive friends from 400 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Rose Catholic Church, her nephew- Father David Ross will officiate.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
