Betty J. Hunt, 90 of Lima, Ohio returned to her eternal Father in Heaven on Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima, Ohio.
Born Monday, October 24, 1921 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles Baumgardner and the late Emma Meyers Baumgardner. She was the wife of the late David M. Hunt, Jr.
She was employed by Dr. Gene CaJacobs.
She married David M. Hunt, Jr. on February 2, 1962 in Lima, Ohio. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1999. She was a member South Side Christian Church, Lima Aerie Eagles #370, Lima Elk's Lodge #54, VFW Lima Auxiliary. She volunteered at St. Rita's Medical Center for many years. She loved dancing, and was involved with dancing aerobics for many years. She loved spending time at her cottage at Indian lake and going out on her pontoon boat.
Surviving are two sons, Dan (Carol) Ferrall of Lima, OH and Steve (Cheryle) Ferrall of Columbus, OH, and a daughter, Jayne (Nick) Donley of Lima, OH., Eight grandchildren, Amy L. (Todd) Pack, Michael Ferrall, Nichole Green, Brit (Shane) Ferrall-Newland, Jason (Lyndsey) Donley, Nicholas Donley, Jill Hunt-Gerding, Eric Donley and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sara Donley, three brothers, Hugh Baumgardner, Merle Baumgardner and Thor Baumgardner, and three sisters, Wanna Hacker, Virginia Reed and Melba Baumgardner.
A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Wanda Werking officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to South Side Christian Church, 3300 South Side Dr.,Lima, OH 45807.
