Betty Longsworth

Betty Lea Grubb Longsworth, 83, died at 7:51 a.m. Dec. 11, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Van Wert to Emmett and Della Putman Grubb, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 15, 1943, she married Carl James Longsworth, who died July 24, 1994. They were married for nearly 51 years. Mrs. Longsworth had worked at Interface Flooring, LaGrange, Ga., for 11 years, and at Ryan's Food & Steakhouse, for three years. Survivors include a son, Carl J. Longsworth Jr., of Glasgow, Scotland; a daughter, Carol (Albert) Truesdale, of Lima; and 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Longsworth Sr.; a daughter, Marvy Longsworth; and four brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
