Betty Jane Skiba, 81 of Lima, Ohio died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio in Lima, Ohio.
Born Saturday, August 24, 1929 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles Seemiller and the late Alice Diamond Seemiller. She was the wife of the late Joe J. Skiba.
She was employed by Buckeye Rubber.
Betty married Joe J. Skiba on July 27, 1950, he preceded her in death on March 4, 1992. She loved playing Bingo, enjoyed gardening, and spending time with family and friends
Surviving are son, Joseph C. Skiba of Lima, OH, and a daughter, Rebecca (Tony Stokes ) Skiba of Harrod, OH. She had seven grandchildren, Charity, Joey, Ann, Christina, Michelle, Ashley, and Samantha and four greatgrandchildren, Laquay, Tiaira, Nelson, and Jaymion. Also surviving are, two brothers, Patrick (Lee) Alexander of New Brighton, PA and Harry Alexander of West Allis, WI, along with three sisters, Mildred Crossey of Neville Island, PA, Alice Clark of Aliquippa, PA, Cathy Ciamelle of South Heights, PA and Harriett Sparks of Lorain, OH.
She was predeceased by son, Walter J. Skiba, daughter, Catherine Reese, brothers, Charles and Mike.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Father James McDonald officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
