Betty Jo Tenny

Betty Jo Tenny, 87, passed away on April 19, 2025, at Mennonite Memorial Home.

Betty was born on June 25, 1937, in Lima, Ohio to Harold and Evelyn (Proctor) Sielschott. On April 23, 1960, she married Wayne Tenny, who preceded her in death on May 6, 2001.

Betty was a member of the New Creation Lutheran Church, Elida, Ohio. She had worked as a secretary at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC, the Leader and Holsteins Store in Lima, Ohio, Alan Nott Honda/Toyota in Lima, Ohio, and at General Dynamics. She also was the Resident Manager at Golden Lane Apartments in Lima, Ohio.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy (Ken) Zimmerly, and Cindy (Greg) Fudala; grandchildren, Sean (Fernando) Callahan, Clayton Callahan, and Katie (Shane) McCrory; and a great-grandchild, Max McCrory.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Leonard (Joan) Sielschott.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m.. Pastor John Foster will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
