94, died at 1:10 PM on Monday, October 20, 2014, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Bettye was born on February 13, 1920, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Charles White and Helen (Wilhelm) White.
Bettye married Donald Marshall on December 8, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1995. She was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church and a very active Christian her entire life. She was the founder of Al-Anon in Lima; and was a member of the Red Hat Society; President of Robin Rogers Women's Guild; chairperson of Camp Robin Rogers Camp committee and member of the Board of Directors of the Association for Retarded Citizens.
She is survived by: four sons, Donald (Bev) Marshall, of Dayton, OH, Thomas (Paula) Marshall, of Knoxville, TN, Tim (Carol) Marshall, of Lima, OH, and Todd Marshall, of Lima, OH; three daughters, Dianne (Roger) Ayers, of Olathe, KS, Bettye Ann Marshall, of Lima, OH, and Grace Marshall, of Centerville, OH; seventeen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren; a sister, Mary June (Morris) Reams, of Lima, OH.
She was preceded in death by: two sons, John David Marshall, and Michael Allen Marshall; a sister, Virginia Alguire.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Westside United Methodist Church from 10:30 to 11:00 A.M. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. William Cronk will officiate.
Private family interment will have occurred at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio prior to services at the church.
