Blanche Langan,
101, of Lima, Ohio died on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 11:35 P.M. at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.
Born January 7, 1912 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Byron Langan and the late Rose (Simons) Langan.
Ms. Langan worked for more than 35 years as a secretary and dental assistant. She was a life member of the American Dental Assistants Association and the Ohio State Dental Assistants Society. She had volunteered for more than 30 years at both Lima Memorial Health System and St. Rita's Medical Center. She was a past secretary-treasurer for St. Vincent de Paul Society through the St. Charles Parish, and has volunteered for many years at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. She loved to get visitors, and enjoyed all the entertainment at the convalescent home. She was loved and respected by many.
She is survived by: a nephew, Pat & (Barbara) Langan; two nieces, Marilyn Abbott and Barb (Ed) Leukhardt; many great nieces and nephews, and many great great nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Diane Miller.
She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Richard Langan, and Paul Langan
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. Charles Catholic Church located at 2175 W. Elm St. Lima, Ohio 45805. Father Stephen Blum will officiating.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH, at a later date.
