Blenna Brown Beach

Blenna I. Brown Beach, 86, died at 2:07 a.m. June 1, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born December 28, 1922, in Lima, Ohio to Earl B. and Inez Bailey Brown, who preceded her in death. She married Donald Mertz, who preceded her in death. She then married Marvin Beach Sr., who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Beach was a homemaker. She had worked as a secretary, telephone operator and a home health aide. She enjoyed flower gardening and reading. Survivors include two daughters, Marie Hughes, of Lima, Ohio, and Rozlyn (David) Koenigseker, of Kalida, Ohio; a son, Marvin K. Beach Sr., of Lima, Ohio; three grandchildren, Shane Hughes, of Spencerville, Ohio, Sarah Koenigseker, of Kalida, Ohio, and Shannan Hughes, of Lima, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Mildred Glover, James Brown, Regina Kleinoeder, Melvin Brown and Olin Brown. Services will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
