Bonnie Blaine,

94, died at 12 PM on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima, Ohio.

Bonnie was born on Tuesday, February 5, 1924, in Lima, to the late Walter and Ruth (Hughes) Bercaw. Her husband Lloyd preceded her in death on June 26, 2004.

Bonnie was an exceptional volunteer and was given the Catherine McAuley Lifetime Achievement Award. She volunteered at St. Rita’s for 37 years. Her work included assisting customers at the Thrift Shop, working with St. Rita’s Community Service Mission greeting customers with a smile and giving direction at the Guest Services Desk. Throughout the years she has participated in many activities and fund raisers with the Volunteer / Auxiliary. In addition to donating time at the medical center Bonnie also knitted prayer shawls for her church and crocheted angels for veterans. Bonnie was a longtime member of Zion Methodist Church, in Elida.

She is survived by her children, Lois Jean (Denny) Humphreys, Pat (Dale) Grimm and Pam (Bill) Askins; grandchildren, Melissa Humphreys, Julie (Todd) Keiser, Darin (Shelly) Grimm, Megan (Shane) Harmon, Dave (Candy) Askins, and Lori (Aaron) Crider; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law Alice Bercaw.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Donald Bercaw, Gilbert Bercaw, Eugene Bercaw, Walter Bercaw, Jr., Dorothy Hartge and Doris Foust.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.  Interment will be in Allentown Cemetery.
