Brooks Edgar Bush

85, passed away on January 20, 2019 at Lima Convalescent Home. He was born on June 8, 1933 in Lima, Ohio to Harry and Lida (Baker) Bush who both preceded him in death.

Brooks graduated from Waynesfield High School in 1951 and was employed at Prudential Insurance Agency for 31 years. After retiring from Prudential, he worked part time at AVI Vending. Brooks enjoyed harness racing, was an avid golfer, and had a great passion for The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Brooks married Elizabeth (Beth) Pepple on April 18, 1953. They were happily married for 65 years. Elizabeth survives in Lima, Ohio. Brooks is also survived by his sons, Mark (Shelly-fiancée) Bush, Tim (Jackie) Bush, and Todd (Amy) Bush, all of Lima, Ohio; his daughter, Alicia Bush of Continental, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Justin, Jamin (Lindsey), Whitney, Rachel, Rena, Jerod, Jacob (Brigid), Jenna, and Holly Watt; and one great-grandchild, Ruby.

Brooks was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Lida (Baker) Bush, brother Mack Bush, sister June Barnum and son Craig Bush.

A funeral service will be held at Cridersville United Methodist Church on Friday, January 25, at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Entombment will follow the service at Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Convalescent Home or Cridersville United Methodist Church.  Pastor Mark Hollinger will officiate
