Bruce Fox

Bruce A. Fox, 65, passed away at 10:40 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.

Bruce was born on July 8, 1958, in Lima, Ohio, to the late William O. and Patricia (Schmenk) Fox.

Bruce retired after an accomplished career as an Engineering Manager at Wright Patterson Airforce Base with over 30 years of Department of Defense industry experience where he developed and deployed multiple systems to the Air Force community.  He was a 1976 graduate of Lima Catholic Central and went on to graduate from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering, and the Air Force Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Bruce also served in the US Army internationally from 1976 to 1979.

Bruce loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing with friends and family. After retiring, Bruce also devoted his time to volunteering for Five Rivers MetroParks to support environmental and ecological efforts.

Bruce is survived by his former spouse, Diana Jarvi Fox; two sons, Christopher (Sonja) Fox and Jason Fox, all of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Gino, Sonny, and Sienna; and good friend, Diane Baker. He is also survived by brothers, Mark (Becky) Fox of Lima and Brett (Margi) Fox of Canton, Michigan.

He is preceded in death by brother, Jeffrey Fox and sister, Victoria Fox.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:30 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio, with a prayer service beginning immediately after at 6:30 PM.
