Bruce H. Kiracofe , 66, died at 4:42 p.m. June 16, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. He was born August 11, 1942, in Van Wert, Ohio to Harland and Margaret Bolenbaugh Kiracofe, who preceded him in death. On July 3, 1980, in Lafayette, Ohio, he married Cora Ballinger, who survives in Harrod, Ohio. Mr. Kiracofe was a graduate of Crestview High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a superintendent of the Antique Machinery Department at the Allen County Fair. He was a member of many antique tractor and machinery clubs and was a tractor pull flagger with Hetzle Sled. He was a member of the Lafayette Jackson Township Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad. His hobbies included woodworking, motorcycling, camping and playing his guitar. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors also include, three sons, Darin (Deb) Kiracofe, of North Carolina, Brad (Terresa) Devier, of Bluffton, Ohio, and Mark (Corri) Kiracofe, of Plain City, Ohio; five daughters, Chelle (Harry) Stauffer, of Florida, Dawn (Brad H.) Nelson, of Continental, Ohio, Dee (Brian) Bailey, of Shawnee, Lauri (Craig) Fordham, of Missouri, and Angie (Ramon) Malaya, of Cleveland, Ohio; 23 grandchildren, Brittany Rhodes, Courtney Rhodes, Cassy Jarrell, Carmen Causby, Gracie Kiracofe, Zachary Devier, Austin Devier, Gavin Devier, Kendra Nelson, Lindsey Davis, Tygan Nelson, Dylan Devier, Lane Devier, Jessica Shaffer, Dakota Bailey, Schyler Bailey, Katie Rhodes, Blake Rhodes, Emily Fordham, Garrett Fordham, Ysabella Malaya, and Landon Malaya; two great-grandchildren, Airyanna Jarrell and Brooke Jarrell; four sisters, Joann Darling, Shirley Flickinger and Judy Kiracofe, all of Van Wert, Ohio, and Brenda Foust, of Convoy, Ohio; and a brother, Larry Kiracofe, of Van Wert, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Dale Kiracofe. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at County Line Church of the Brethren. Pastor David Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Desenberg Cemetery, Jackson Township, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9381, Ada.
