Bruce Charles Plumb

Bruce C. Plumb, 89, passed away at 10:58 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Wyngate Senior Living. 

Bruce was born on August, 24, 1935, in Scott, Ohio, to Bruce John and Helen Irene (Kimmey) Plumb. On December 18, 1955, he married Suzanne (Kaliher) Plumb, who survives in Lima.

Bruce graduated from Lima Central High School in 1953. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Bruce formerly worked at the Allen County Engineers Office and E.J. Meyer in Ottawa. In 1969 he then went to work at Kohli & Kaliher where he retired as a partner in 2002. Bruce served as a Past President of Lima Jaycees and a Past Exalted Ruler of Elk’s Lodge #54. Bruce was a founding member of Lima/Allen County Regional Planning Commission. He served for 55 years, making him the longest serving member of the Commission. 

 Along with his wife Suzanne, he is survived by his children, James C. Plumb, Stephen B. Plumb, and Kathleen S. Guagenti; grandchildren, Samantha (Becca) Barth, Austin Plumb, Dominic Guagenti, and Charles Guagenti. 

 The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., officiated by Rev. Lori Wright. There will be an Elk’s Lodge of Sorrow following the memorial service. 

 In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Deb’s Dogs or Mercy Health Hospice.
