C. Peggs

C. Joan Peggs, 76, died at 8:37 p.m. March 13, 2008, at her residence. She was born December 14, 1931, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Logan and Esther Steele Trice, who preceded her in death. On March 12, 1982, she married Richard Peggs, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Peggs was a dental assistant for Dr. Gary Brunk, a nurse at Bath schools and employed by Lima Memorial Health System. She graduated from Columbus Grove High School and Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Lost Creek Country Club and First Church of God. Survivors also include four daughters, Linda (Gary) Kerr, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Debra (Mitch) Sadler and Diane (Mike) Tomlinson, both of Lima, Ohio, and Lori (Jim) Van de Veire, of Atlanta, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Karen (Jerry) Lovett, of Elida, Ohio, and Deborah (Rick) Camper, of Lima, Ohio; a stepson, Dan (Sue) Peggs, of St. Louis, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Jack (Midge) Trice, of Findlay, Ohio. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at First Church of God at the Crossroads. The Rev. Randy Bargerstock will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church.
