72, died at 12:52 PM on Monday, November 6, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Carl was born on July 27, 1945, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Justice Gibson and Dorothy (Davis) Gibson. On Friday, December 30, 1983, he married Betty (Diernfeld) Hendricks Gibson, she survives in Lima.
Carl was a Jack of all trades, known around Lima as the ‘lawnmower man’, and a master of most of those trades. He was a man with a lot of energy and a lot of love, and knew how to fix just about anything.
He is survived by a son, Carl Delane Gibson, of KY, daughter, Josephine Born, of KY, four stepchildren, Mark Hendricks, Chuck Hendricks, Terri Dawson, Deb (Mike) Pepple: four granddaughters, Nicole, Jennifer, Siera, Emily and one grandson, Devin Gibson; ten step grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; eight siblings Kathrine (Bobby) Davis, Donnie (Gladys) Gibson, Hazel Marie Moore, Clinton Munday,Clayton Munday, Imogene Martin, Bernadine Compton, and Wayne Munday.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio.
