Carl ?Butch? Hendricks, 72, died at 7:11 a.m. August 13, 2010, at his residence. He was born February 15, 1938, in Lima, Ohio to Omer Carl and Caroline A. Axe Hendricks, who preceded him in death. Mr. Hendricks was an over-the-road truck driver. He loved the history of the Old West and traveled there often. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He loved to play poker. He was an Air Force veteran serving from August 1, 1955, to April 26, 1956. Survivors include four children, Deb (Mike) Pepple, of Spencerville, Ohio, Chuck (Amy) Hendricks, of Lima, Ohio, Mark (Rhonda) Hendricks, of Tiffin, Ohio, and Terri Dawson, of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Benjamin (Heather) Hendricks, Matthew (Margo) Hendricks, Beth (Travis) Jayner, Michael Pepple, Scott Pepple, Brett Pepple, Ryan Pepple and Zachary Dawson; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Lucille) Hendricks, of Lima; and several dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death b a son, David Eric Hendricks; a brother, Bob Hendricks; and a sister, Leah Hoffman. Services will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
