Carl Miller

CARL H. MILLER, 87, died at 11:40 a.m. June 14, 2007, at the Ridge at Shawnee. He was born February 11, 1920, in Lima, Ohio to Fred W. and Emma Kortier Miller, who preceded him in death. On July 25, 1941, he married Irene M. Wilkin, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Miller retired in 1982 from Mark IV Construction. He was a member of New Creation Lutheran Church. He was a member of Tamarac Golf Club and had been a member of Sertoma Club. He was an avid bowler for 28 years in four different leagues.He served in the United States Army during WWII. Survivors also include two daughters, Lynette K. Lewis, of Elida, Ohio, and Lisa Walder, of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Earlene Davis, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Miller, of Adrian, Michigan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Miller and Kenny Miller. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Samuel Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery, Spencerville, with military rites. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
