CARL E. OFFENBACHER, 67, died at 11:15 a.m. Aug. 31, 2006, at Plus Health Care Center. He was born March 20, 1939, in Lima to Norman and Ilo Scoles Offenbacher. His father and stepmother, Gladys Offenbacher, survive in Lima. His mother preceded him in death. Mr. Offenbacher was owner/operator of Mobile Movers. He was a member of Unity Church of Lima, where he was vice president of the board of trustees. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. He was an Army veteran, serving from 1961 to 1963. He enjoyed going to steam shows and bluegrass music concerts. Survivors also include two brothers, Les (Donna) Offenbacher and Myron (Darlene) Offenbacher, both of Lima; three nieces, Tracy, Bethany and Ann Marie; two nephews, Lee and Jason; five great-nieces and -nephews, Keenan, Emily, Casey, Ethan and Riley; wonderful, caring friends, Randy Pugin and Donna Warnimont; his beloved dog, Scrappie; and several other family members and friends. Services will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Beverly Shade will officiate. The body will be cremated following the service.
