Carl E. Tapp Jr., 48, passed away at 9:28 a.m. on May 26, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
Carl was born on October 24, 1973 in Marietta, GA, to Carl E. & Roxanna (Edwards) Tapp Sr. On February 7, 2014 he married Ida M. (Davis) Tapp, who survives in Lima.
Carl was a truck driver for BLT and Dancer Logistics Inc. in Delphos. He was also a Bell ringer for W.A.R. Wrestling. He enjoyed fishing and was extremely into the Pittsburgh Steelers and wrestling. He was an animal lover, especially his dog “Misty”.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his son, Dylan Tapp of Elida; four step-children: Christopher (Britney) Morlock of Findlay, Ashley (Scott) Shaner of Lima, Jennifer (Myles) Daugherty of Lima and Brittney (Matt) Dunbar of Lima; grandchildren: Addison, Jace, Kinsley, Colton, Cali, Mason, Makenna and Carter. He was preceded in death by his mother.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Bob Gould of Crossroads Church of God will officiate.
The family ask that visitors dress casually, especially in their favorite sports team apparel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
