Carol Jean Fullmer, 77 of Lima, Ohio died on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Born Wednesday, September 20, 1933 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harold Clark and the late Oneta Weaver Clark. She was the wife of Lester Fullmer.
Married Woodford Walton "Woody" Zimmerman, June 19, 1955. He died in 1988. Married Lester Richard Fullmer July 9, 1995 and he survives in Lima. Graduate of the Ohio State University in 1955 with a Bachelor of Education Degree and she received a Masters in Education from Bowling Green State University. Was a kindergarten teacher at Shawnee Schools . After retiring from Shawnee School, she taught kndergarten in Boca Raton, Florida for 4 years. Active in the Wesley Foundation in college and was selected for membership in the national honorary, Tau Beta Sigma. Member of the Arbutus Club. Long time member of Lima Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima, Ohio. Was part of the Worship Team and the Stephen Ministry Team at Trinity. Member of the American Contract Bridge Assoc. and was a Junior Life Master. She was a Docent at Allen County Museum and a supporter of the Lima Symphony Orchestra. Loved to travel and traveled to all 50 states and many countries Most of all loved her family and friends whom she cherished.
Surviving are sons, David Lyn (Donna) Zimmerman of Westerville, OH and Douglas Clark (Jessica) Zimmerman of Vienna, VA, daughter, Lisa Kay Crawfis of Columbus, OH, , Five Step Children, Eight Grandchilden, Eleven Step Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren, Eight Step Great Grandchildren, sisters, Miriam Bengtson of State College, PA and Marilyn May Brown of Seattle, WA., brother-in-law, Samuel Zimmerman, Albuquerque, NM
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phyllis Fetzer officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 27, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, and Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Trinity United Methoist Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Trinity United M ethodist Church or Allen County Museum.
