Carole Work

Carole L. Work, 69, died at 11:25 p.m. Jan. 23, 2009, in Richland Manor Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 5, 1939 in Moorefield W.Va. to Earl W. and Freda Powell Zirk, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 1, 1963, she married Robert L. Work Sr., who died May 13, 1979. Mrs. Work had been a waitress at Westgate Lanes for many years. Survivors include a son, Robert (Ginny) Work Jr., of Spencerville; three daughters, Rebecca (Dean) Harnann, of Sullivan, and Robin Sweigart and Debra (Todd) Salyers, both of Ada; and 10 grandchildren, Tiffany, Nathan, Lisa, Adam, Alex, Nicole, Austin, Logan, Serena and Matthew. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Kline will officiate. Burial will be in Cairo East Cemetery.
